Emotional intelligence positively contributes to project success. In January 2021, the Project Management Institute (PMI) incorporated Emotional Intelligence into its prestigious syllabus. However, emotional intelligence is a multi-faceted concept, and project managers often do not know how to engage in or develop their capacity in emotional intelligence.

David has 15 years’ industry experience and has worked nationally and internationally in various roles. His current research explores the dynamics of project management careers and mentoring relationships. His articles have been published in a number of academic journals such as International Journal of Project Management, Journal of Public Procurement, and Public Money and Management.
