‘New Thinking in Enterprise Excellence ‘ – Manufacturing Conference 2018

The digital transformation of manufacturing and manufacturing processes has arrived, and now it’s time to embrace it. Creating smart connected manufacturing with people centred operations will help drive and strengthen Ireland’s global manufacturing competitiveness.

This conference will support leaders to understand what they must do to reinvent their manufacturing practices – enabling Factory 4.0 by utilisation of digitalisation, and IoT for improved efficiencies, and bring their workforce along to the next generation of Operational Excellence in a Smart Factory.

This conference agenda has been designed specifically by the Operational Excellence and Advanced Manufacturing Working Groups to showcase particular case studies on how traditional manufacturing companies are moving their processes to digital and improving efficiencies through the use of emerging technologies.

Supported by all of Ibec’s manufacturing sectors, we expect to have 300+ delegates in attendance at what is promised to be an exciting, interactive full-day event, with exhibition stands showcasing best-practice manufacturing, digitalisation of manufacturing, smart technologies, operational excellence and lean processes.

The themes which will be covered as part of the conference include:
Session 1: Global Manufacturing Competitiveness, trends, including the latest and greatest technologies and where Ireland’s Advanced Manufacturing sits;
Session 2: Manufacturing Leadership and Women in Manufacturing;
Session 3: Smartening up your Manufacturing Processes, including collaborative approaches and new innovations in manufacturing;
Session 4: Advanced Manufacturing – Best Practice Sharing

As part of the Ibec Medtech & Engineering Global Manufacturing Conference, companies are invited to demonstrate their latest examples of Operational Excellence and/or Advanced manufacturing by entering our poster competition. This competition will take place during the event, and the winners will be announced at the evening reception.

Showcase your company by presenting your best A3 Project in two categories:
1. Operational Excellence (sponsored by LBS Partners)
2. Advanced Manufacturing (sponsored by Irish Manufacturing Research)
Shortlisted posters will be on display at conference exhibition.
Each winning team will be given the opportunity to present their project to the wider Medtech & Engineering community at the event.
