We would like to invite you to ‘Money Matters’ which takes place at the Radisson Hotel, Athlone on 6th March from 11.00 am until 2.00pm. The event is geared towards established small businesses across the region who want to find out more about the financial options and other supports available to them.
Money Matters is being organised by Local Enterprise Office Westmeath, and will feature a jam-packed schedule of speakers including representatives from Enterprise Ireland, Intertrade Ireland and KPMG. The free event aims to help small businesses across the midlands learn how to access the various funding streams available from the Local Enterprise Office itself, and other agencies.
This event also aims to cater to those in the area of Research & Development– with Enterprise Irelands/LEO’s supports and advice available for businesses in this area. Enterprise Ireland’s Joanne Sheahan will focus on the Agile Innovation Fund, which aims to support Research and Development.
On the day, there will be a special talk on Lean practices, and how they can be implemented in very simple ways to improve productivity, reduce hours and make financial savings. Lean advisor Robert Hernon will explain how Lean works by teaching businesses to do things quicker, better, cheaper. Lean strives to stamp out waste and to continually improve how businesses operate.
Terri Treacy, Tax Director with KPMG, will be talking all things tax credits during an informative session. Many small companies are unaware that they might be eligible for certain reliefs and incentives, which could very well be the difference between success and failure. Intertrade Ireland will outline their Brexit Supports along with funding initiatives for employing staff etc We will also have a panel of Case Study Businesses like Bevcraft LTD, SERCHEK Industrial, and Intersearch Ireland from the county sharing Best Practice.
Attendees will also be able to avail of free one-to-one sessions with expert mentors on areas including Brexit preparations, Enterprise Europe Network, marketing, sales and business planning. Mentoring is one of LEO Westmeath most popular supports in which businesses are appointed an expert to focus specifically on the issues affecting their company.
