This 2 part-program will give you the skills and confidence to use the Lean and Six Sigma tools to improve processes and drive out waste in your organisation. You’ll also learn the essential faciliation skills you’ll need to run highly successful Lean Six Sigma projects.
The first part of this program is an intensive, highly interactive 44 hour classroom lab which will teach you the Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools through engaging simulation exercises, hands-on practical challenges and the application of the Lean Six Sigma principles to solve real-world problems. Through case-studies and exercises, you’ll learn how to apply the Lean Six Sigma tools, originally designed for manufacturing, into any business, especially service and office based industries.
During the lessons and labs you’ll use Lean Six Sigma tools including Statistical Process Control software, a Microsoft Excel tool. Working through real-life scenarios and practical breakout exercises you’ll quickly gain the confidence, knowledge and understanding to interpret and communicat data, graphs and charts. You will receive a Certificate of Completion – Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Theory at the end of part one.
The second part of this program will require you to complete a project that demonstrates that you have understood and can apply the Lean Six Sigma tools at a Green Belt level. Green Belt projects take approximately 16 hours to complete. Trigraph will provide you with mentoring support from a qualified mentor and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt to help you deliver your project. Trigraph will also provide you with project templates and Lean Six Sigma tool templates.
Upon completion of this project, you will earn your Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
This program also acts as an intensive exam preparation course for the internationally recognised and respected IASSC certification. Once you complete this Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program you will be qualified to take the IASSC exam (additional $295). Should you wish, Trigraph will arrange the exam for you.
If you wish to achieve a HETAC level 7 accreditation, Trigraph can support you too. Please call for further details.
What is Lean Six Sigma and who is this course suitable for?
Lean Six Sigma focuses on process performance removing waste and non-value add activities striving for a six-sigma level process of 3.4 defects per million opportunities through reduction of variation and data based decision making.
This is achieved through a philosophy to deliver and balance customer value and business profitability by removing wasteful and non-value-added activities from all business processes and products. Variation is reduced resulting in better, faster, lower cost products and services.
Results are delivered through a consistent, powerful methodology for gaining knowledge and problem solving known as DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control)
