In this hands-on workshop, Paul Ebbs will facilitate a Lean simulation “Make-A-Card” that demonstrates key Lean principles flow, pull production, batching, and continuous improvement. He will also deliver a short presentation on the business case for Lean Capital Project Delivery, and will be joined by Glenn Ballard and Professor Christine Pasquire for Q&A. Between them they have over 50 years’ collective Lean Construction experience to draw upon.
About the speaker
Paul is an action-based researcher working with Professor Christine Pasquire at the Lean Project Management Research Group in Nottingham Trent University to design, develop, and test a Lean Project Delivery System for a UK based company in a highly regulated engineering sector.
Paul has trade, supervision, and management level experience on a wide range of construction projects. More recently, he worked with Umstot Solutions, a US-based Lean coaching and consulting firm helping Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) organisations and teams deliver better project performance and results using a variety of lean construction methods, including the Last Planner System, Target Value Delivery, Alignment Partnering, Choosing By Advantages, and Study Action Teams.
