These Regulations amend the Private Water Supplies and Sewerage Facilities Regulations, 1963, to provide that where the cost per house of group water installations exceeds ?180 the Minister may pay a total State grant of one-third of the cost per house or ?100 whichever is the less. The sanitary authority is empowered to pay a grant in such cases not exceeding the grant paid by the Minister.
