IRISH ENVIRONMENTAL LEGISLATION

These Regulations provide for corrections, amendments and additions to Annex 1, additions to Annex III and amendments to Annex IV of the European Communities (Dangerous Substances) (Classification, Packaging and Labelling) Regulations, 1979— S.I. No. 383 of 1979 .

The effect of the Order is to prohibit the importation of bees except under licence, to which conditions may be attached. Licences cannot be issued to import bees in a skep or other fixed-comb hive.

The Order establishes part of the area known as the Glen of the Downs as a Nature Reserve so that it can be managed in such a way as to ensure the conservation of the woodland ecosystem which it constitutes.

The order establishes part of the lands situate in the townland of Derryclare, Co. Galway (including Derryclare Wood) as a Nature Reserve so that it can be managed in such a way as to ensure the conservation of the woodland, wet moorland, pond and lakeshore ecosystems which it constitutes.

These Regulations extend the period under which payment of excise duty on home manufactured table waters may be deferred.

These regulations give effect to Council Directive No. 77/728/EEC of 7 November, 1977. The regulations require suppliers to ensure that preparations listed in Article 1 of the Directive are not placed on the market unless the preparations and their packaging comply with the provisions of the Directive.

The order establishes part of the lands situate in the townland of Ballykeefe Hill, Co. Kilkenny, as a nature reserve so that it can be managed in such a way as to ensure the conservation of the woodland ecosystem which it constitutes.
